Eyes On: The Tagg Pet Tracker
Qualcomm subsidiary Snaptracs was on hand at Pepcom’s Digital Experience event to demo their Tagg pet tracker, and really — what better way to do it than with a large stuffed dog?
See that grey doodad on Fido’s neck? That’s the Tagg tracker proper, and assuming you remembered to charge it, you’ll be able to ping [...]

Sneak peek at the Seesmic Honeycomb Twitter client
It was less than two weeks ago that we predicted the major Twitter app developers would soon (but not soon enough) be unleashing Honeycomb apps for Android tablets. Here, friends, is one of the first. We’ve gotten a sneak peek at Seesmic’s upcoming Honeycomb Twitter client and present it to you here.
All in all, we’re not [...]
Ping users can now like songs and post statuses from iPad’s iPod app
In addition to a few big features, yesterday’s release of iOS 4.3 brought several nice-to-haves such as password reentry for in-app purchases and the ability to comment on songs or like them directly in iPad’s built-in iPod application (no, not “like” as in “Facebook like”). The feature requires you to sign up for an account [...]

iTun.es URL now used for Ping tweets
Although we reported that Apple had turned to the t.co URL shortening service for Ping tweets Apple has now turned to their iTun.es URL. Apple owns iTun.es and purchased it back in December of 2006. Wonder why it took them this long to use it with Ping. (Thanks, Stabby!)
Apple to announce something “exciting” related to iTunes
Apple is promising to unveil something unforgettable for iTunes users tomorrow. As cryptic as always, Apple’s webpage claims that tomorrow is a day we’ll never forget, without divulging any more info. Free music for life is something I’ll never forget but Apple surely won’t announce anything on that lines. Perhaps something related to Ping? We’ll [...]
Apple turns to t.co URL shortener for Ping tweets?
When Apple and Twitter announced Ping Twitter integration many users quickly noticed the length of the tweeted URL’s from Ping. Some even speculated that Apple would adopt their iTun.es URL to replace long URL’s like this: http://c.itunes.apple.com/us/event/id95145001T1T21?i=401082566. Well today it looks like Apple finally realized that URL length was not cutting it for users so [...]
Ping comes to iPad
Apple today updated the backend of their iPad iTunes application to add Ping support. Ping support was added to the iPhone right around the iOS 4.1 launch so this means we’re close to the iOS 4.2 launch. The full Ping experience is present as a tab on the iPad iTunes app and it includes your [...]
Ping Sidebar becomes iTunes Sidebar, Brings back Genius Recommendations
When Apple released iTunes 10.0.1 the software’s sidebar was renamed to the ‘Ping Sidebar’ and it removed Genius Recommendations from the side. Today, Apple brought Genius Recommendations back to the sidebar and renamed the bar to something more fitting: ‘iTunes Sidebar.’
We think users will enjoy this change as having your Genius recommendations at your side (pun [...]
